WIFA’s Coach Education Programme

Western India Football Association is conducting an AIFF ‘D’ License Course & Grassroots Leaders Course in association with

Sports Authority of India (SAI), Aurangabad from 9th to 16th May 2014.

This courses are being organized to cover the following districts (Gadchiroli, Gondia, Buldana, Washim, Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Dhule, Wardha and is beingbe held at the SAI Campus in Aurangabad. AIFF has approved 60 candidates form 10 districts to participate in the said courses.

The courses will be fully subsidized by WIFA and SAI, Aurangabad. This is in line with WIFA’s Coach Education initiative to make Maharashtra a football literate State by 2015. The aim is to produce at least 3 AIFF ‘D’ License Coaches and 3 Grassroots Leaders in each district. There will be two more courses of this kind within the next month to help improve the standard of football coaching in the region.

The course was inaugurated by WIFA Vice -President Mr. Liaquat Hussain & and Indian Boxing Coach Mr. G Manoharan (Arjun Award Winner, Abhimanyu Award Winner, Best Boxing Coach & Best Services Sportsman Award)
