FOOTBALL FEVER TO GRIP CITY GIRLS

In an attempt to boost women’s football in the city, Mumbai Mirror is organising Mumbai’s biggest rink football tournament for girls at Cooperage this month. 

And with cash prizes over Rs 1 lakh, the Mirror Girls Soccer League (GSL) will definitely give a big boost to women footballers. 

Backed by WIFA and MSSA, the tournament kicks off on October 10 and will be played accross two weekends with the finale scheduled for October 18.

More than 50 teams will be battling to earn the title of the first Mirror Girls Soccer League champion, in three age categories — U-14, U-16 and open. 

Mirror Girls Soccer League is a five-a-side rink tournament and all teams will be allowed four rolling substitutes.

The Cut off dates for
Under 14: 1st Jan 2002 to 31st Dec 2003
Under 16: 1st Jan 2000 to 31st Dec 2001
