Sporting host the Airmen

Sporting Clube De Goa play hosts to the Mumbai based Air India FC at the PJN stadium in Fatorda Goa, in the first match of the I-league post the 2011 SAFF Cup. After two successive losses the club from Goa would be looking to get back to winning ways against the Airmen.

The Goan outfit has played six of their eight league games at home and suffered a loss in just one of them, last week against East Bengal. This week again they are playing at home and their manager Ekendra Singh would be hoping to carry forward their home form against Air India. In the absence of Mathew Gonsalves, Kieta will have to play out of his skin along with the rest of the backline or else the Goan side might find themselves in a tricky situation.

Lying at ninth spot on the table, Air India has not scored in three out of their last four league matches and has conceded five goals in their last two games. Santosh Kashyap has managed his team well this season and his side sit comfortably in 9th place in the table.

Nigerian Henry Ezeh will have to play a pivotal role for them if they want to walk away with three points from this trip of theirs. Prem Kumar is suspended for the visitors and will sit out of their ninth round midweek encounter.
