Riding on Bhagyashree Dalvi’s hat-trick, Bodyline SC wins 4-1

18th August 2017, Mumbai: The third matchday of the ongoing Indian Women’s League (IWL) commenced today at Cooperage Stadium. Bodyline SC made a strong comeback after their opening day defeat as a neat hat-trick by Bhagyashree Dalvi sealed the game 4-1 at Cooperage Stadium.

Football Leaders Academy who managed to score nine goals in their previous game never really manage to threatened Bodyline’s backline. It took FLA’s counterpart only 10 minutes to break the deadlock.
Bhagyashree Dalvi was set up through on goal who calmly managed to slight past FLA’s custodian Shreeya Yadav.
Midway into the first-half, FLA had two quick back to back chances to level the score. First, Lian Matthews attempt from forty-yards almost sailed past Bodyline’s Goalkeeper Josline D’Souza. Minutes later, Kashmira Vazirani also tried her luck from distance.
She came as close as Lian. Kashmira’s effort rattled the bar before Shimona Saldhana blasted the rebound over the bar. These misses turned out to be the focal point of the match.
A few minutes later, Bhagyashree doubled the lead after Reetika Sahani set her up with a pinpoint through ball. Bhagyashree completed her hat-trick just before half-time after linking up brilliantly with Signorina Thapa.
The second-half was all about misses unless Bhagyashree and Signorina linked up, yet again. Bombarding from the right-wing, Bhagyashree’s swerving cross was comfortably tapped in by Signorina which completed an impressive move for Bodyline SC.
Bodyline’s defense was finally breached. Tara Khatoon scored the goal for Football Leaders Academy in the dying minutes which proved nothing but a consolation goal.
Hat-trick hero Bhagyashree Dalvi who also assisted the fourth goal was named as the Player Of The Match.

Football Leaders Academy (FLA) headed towards the match on the back of a fine 9-1 win over Kenkre FC in their opening game, whereas, Bodyline SC had to suffer a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Football School of India (FSI).
