Pune District scored a hard-fought 1-0 win against Nagpur District in a semi-final match of the Maharashtra State Inter-District Sub-junior boys’ Football Championship, organised at the Palghar Dhanau Taluka Sports Association by Palghar District on Saturday.
Striker Aryan Salwe struck the all-important winning goal in the second half after a good spell from the Pune team to secure their passage to the title round.
Pune will take on Mumbai District in Sunday’s final.
