It turned out to be the perfect afternoon for Sunday Boys as they tamed R.M. Rainbow 3-1 in a Third Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League 2012-13, at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday. Striker Rahul Patel netted a brace, while Nilesh Pandey got the other for the victors.
Earlier in another match, Shree Mauli Mandal riding on Nikhil Kaloge’s strike overcame Kalapatru Residency 1-0.
Sahar Silver Stars also came through with a 2-0 win against Bal Gopal Mitra Mandal. James D’Souza and Krishna Shetty struck the goals for Silver Stars.
