Nigerian Uchenna leads Karnatak charge

A fired up Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) were in devastating form as they inflicted a crushing 7-1 defeat on F. United in a Super Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) league, at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday.

Spearheading the KSA charge was their Nigerian striker Arihi Uchenna, who hammered home five goals, including a fine hat-trick. Saad Ansari and Mohit Sathe added the other two goals for the victors, while Toichan Vashum netted the lone consolation goal for the losers.

In the other match of the day, Sunday Boys also enjoyed quite an easy outing as they handed Indian Cultural League (ICL) a 2-0 drubbing. Prashant Sawant and Claudius Fernandes scored the goals for the winners.

Results – St Xavier’s ground, Parel – Super Div: Sunday Boys 2 (Prashant Sawant, Claudius Fernandes) beat Indian Cultural League (ICL) 0.

Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) 7 (Arihi Uchenna 5, Saad  Ansari, Mohit Sathe) beat F. United 1 (Toichan Vashum).
