Sellebrity FC, Bandra hit prime form as they posted a facile 5-1 win against an inexperienced Magic Bus in a First Division play-off match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2012-13, at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
Joshua Fernandes, Daniel Fernandes, Karan Kapoor, Roosevelt Fernandes and Vishal Kapse, all netted a goal each to complete the win. Yogesh Kadam pulled one back for the losers.
The Bandra club started in a rousing fashion and with the opening 12 minutes raced to a commanding 4-0 lead. They later relaxed the pace and added just one more goal.
In another match, Springfield SC blanked Wellingdon Catholic Gymkhana 2-0. Akshay Shetty and Dhiraj Shetty struck a goal each for Springfield.
Later, Young Guns overcame Guru Nanak by a solitary goal scored by Samkit Shah.
