Hinduja Hospital pays the penalty, held by Adarsh 0-0

P.D. Hinduja Hospital SC paid the penalty as Adarsh FC forced them to

share two points from their goalless draw in a Division-III match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) league, played at the St Xavier’s ground Parel, on Wednesday.

As action returned to this venue after a three-day Christmas break, the lone match of the day was evenly poised match with both sides enjoying a fair share of the exchanges. The strikers of both teams were provided with a couple of clear scoring opportunities, but they failed to produce a single goal.

In fact, Hinduja Hospital had the best chance to break the stalemate when they awarded a penalty kick by referee Clement D’Mello midway through the second session. But striker Deepak Devakaran was unsuccessful with his attempt from the penalty spot and teams returned back with honours evenly shared.

Results: P.D. Hinduja Hospital 0 drew with Adarsh FC 0.
