Star striker Arya shines again with another 5-star performance as Goans SA win big

Arya Gandharva continued with his impressive showing and once again scored five times in leading Goans Sports Association, Mumbai to a convincing 6-0 win against AIYFA (All India Youth Football Association), Pune 0 in a Group ‘A’ league match of the 1st WIFA State Youth Championship, which is being organized as part of the FIFA-AIFF State Development Project, and played at the Cooperage ground on Saturday. Suraj Kumar netted the sixth goal to secure Goans second successive win in the competition and are now assured of a place in the second phase of the tournament.

Kolhapur’s Kandoba Talim Mandal also recorded their second straight win with a comfortable 2-0 victory against Rabbani Academy, Nagpur in another match of the same group.  Strikers Vishva Shinde and Aditya Laykar were bang on target scoring a goal each.

Meanwhile in Group ‘B’ encounters, Mumbai outfits MSSA Academy and JJ Academy, both registered easy wins defeating Deccan Rovers FC, Pune 10-1 and Mathew Football Academy 9-1 respectively.

Results: Goans SA, Mumbai 6 (Arya Gandharva 5, Suraj Kumar) beat AIYFA, Pune 0.

Kandoba Talim Mandal, Kolhapur 2  (Vishva Shinde, Aditya Laykar) beat Rabbani Academy, Nagpur 1 (Furqaan Raza).

JJ Academy, Mumbai 10 (Karan Prajapat 4, Ansari Owais 3, Shaik Gaikwad 1, Dhruv Kapoor 1, Kaustubh Panchal 1) beat Deccan Rovers FC, Pune 1 (Balraj Jagtap 1).

MSSA Academy 9 (Gerald Baretto 3, Adhya Pawar 2, Nihal Dudwadhaa 2, Kris Benson 1, Adityan 1) beat Mathew Football Academy 0.
