AIFF to conduct B-License Course in November at Cooperage Stadium

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced that they will conduct ‘AFC’ B-License Course (Module – 1) at the Cooperage Stadium from 12th to 26th November 2018. Coaches who hold  AFC ‘C’ License Course and who are actively involved in coaching for a minimum period of 2 years from the completion of AFC ‘C’ License are eligible to apply for this course.

The AFC ‘C’  License holders of the respective districts who are desirous of doing this course are advised to apply for the same by registering online. Log on to http://coaching.the-aiff.com to register for the same. The registration will close on 20th October 2018.

Maharashtra Women’s team sinks Chandigarh 6-0

19th September 2018, Odisha: In the opening game of 24th Senior Women’s Football Championship in Odisha, Maharashtra trounced Chandigarh 6-0 to kick-start their campaign on a positive note. Maharashtra is in Group H alongside Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, and Chandigarh.

With only one team from each group can make it into the next round, Coach Sanaya Anklesaria’s side made the best possible start. It was Pune’s Aishwarya Balapure’s sublime hat-trick which set the tone for Maharashtra. The prolific forward made sure to convert all the chances which fell into her path.

Mumbai’s Pooja Dhamal and Sapna Jaiswar also had an outstanding game alongside Aishwarya. Pooja bagged a brace of goals while Sapna Jaiswar scored once. Maharashtra’s next game is up against Mizoram on 21st September.

Result: Maharashtra 6-0 Chandigarh

24th Senior National Women’s Football Championship: Maharashtra’s Squad and Fixtures

After a two-week long camp at the Cooperage Stadium, Maharashtra’s Senior National Women’s team has begun their quest to go all the way in the upcoming 24th Senior National Women’s Football Championship in Cuttack, Odisha. The Championship will begin on 18th September and conclude on 1st October 2018.

Maharashtra is drawn in Group H alongside Tamil Nadu, Mizoram, and Chandigarh. The first Maharashtra game will be contested on 19th September where they will lock horns against Chandigarh. Their second game is scheduled on 21st September against Mizoram before playing their last Group Stage game against Tamil Nadu on 23rd September 2018.
