Bodyline SC continues their fine form with a 4-0 win

12th September 2017, Mumbai: After the conclusion of Indian Women’s League (IWL) Preliminary Round – First stage, the second phase of the campaign commenced on Tuesday morning when Bodyline SC took on Football School of India (FSI) in hope to secure maximum points at Cooperage Stadium.
Tournament’s top-scorer Bhagyashree Dalvi displayed yet another fantastic display to lead Bodyline SC to glory as a 4-0 win gave them all three points against an energetic FSI side. Joining Bhagyashree in the scoresheet was striker Karen Pais and Tricia Collaco. Bodyline SC made a great start as right from the kick-off, they looked desperate to open the scoring.
Star striker Karen Pais broke the deadlock after a brilliant combination with Kimberley Fernandez who set Karen with a precise long ball into the penalty area. Karen danced past her marker and superbly slotted it past the hapless goalkeeper. The opening goal gave Bodyline SC a huge advantage as they dominated the match proceedings for the larger share of the match.
It didn’t take long for Bodyline SC to double their lead as a bombarding run from Tricia Collaco on the flanks helped Bhagyashree Dalvi to comfortably place her effort into the back of the net. The third goal came from a yet another brilliant link-up play from Bodyline SC.
Muskaan Mehra unleashed a superb ball into the penalty area which found Bhagyashree Dalvi unmarked in the box. Bhagyshree calmly controlled the long ball and buried her effort past the goalkeeper to increase Bodyline SC’s lead by three goals.
The fifth and final goal was netted in by Tricia Collaco who had an impressive match for Bodyline. Valencia D’Mello rolled a ball across Muskaan, whose shot was initially saved by the goalkeeper, but on the rebound, Tricia tapped in from a close range to complete a fine 4-0 victory.
